This week in Lembongan….. Mola Mola Mola Mola Mola! When the waves are too big to get to the south coast, even the Mola Molas come to the north coast to hide from the swell.
The week started off with a bang, with a special manta exploration dive, codenamed ‘Operation Manta Lover Lover’. With commander Laurent leading the exploration, they jumped along the ‘Manta Corridor’ which runs parallel to the south coast of Nusa Penida. We all guests in high sprites from their encounters with the manta rays, the team headed into Crystal Bay to try their luck. From the blue emerged a 2 meter high Mola Mola gently cursing the waters.
The following day, Sidemount instructor Stephanie took Bryce out in the ocean to experience the comfort of sidemount. This was not the only new experience for Bryce… While cruising along with the soft current at Toyapakeh, swimming against the current with easy was another large Mola Mola!
