This week in Lembongan… Our guests have had some pretty amazing encounters with these special creatures. Annie who spent 5 days diving with us, saw a mola every day and on some dives she saw up to 5 molas, swimming, cleaning and even jumping. One of the most special moments of the week was with Annie’s son, Neils. Neils is only 8 so he is yet to become a scuba diver like his mum, but that did not stop him from getting the chance to see a mola!While the boat was moving from Crystal Bay to Toyapakeh, the captain spotted a fin on the surface. We stopped the boat and went back for a closer look. As we slowly drew closer, we were able to get an idea of who this fin belonged to. Everyone was over joyed when we realized that it was a mola resting on the surface, sunbathing to warm itself up. We watched from the boat for a short time and noticed that the mola was not bothered by our presents. At that point we all decided to jump in for the chance to snorkel with this amazing creature. Neils quickly grabbed his mask and snorkel, jumped right in the water, face straight under so that he could witness as much as he could of the mola. After hearing his mum talk so much about it, finally he also got the chance to see one. Neils was quite surprised by the sheer size of the mola, which was easily bigger then him. All on the boat that day got to see a mola and some got to see many underwater.

This time of the year is also the start of what is believed to be the manta mating season. The last few trips that we have done to Manta Point, our guests have been able to see many manta rays, swimming around the cleaning station, cleaning and even some small mating train action.

It is a great time to dive Lembongan with Two Fish, to have the chance to see these two big amazing creatures.
