Muck diving…on Bunaken? I thought it was all wall diving over there!
This week we have surprised our guests with some fantastic muck diving off the main land at a 25 minute boat ride from the resort. Two Fish frequent visitors Reggie, Ludo and Mikkel from Denmark and Sweden have especially enjoyed it as their guide Rocky found a baby black frog fish and showed them the common seahorse! Sandra and Erik also from Sweden had the chance to do some muck diving and thought their guide Rein did a fantastic job in showing them pipefish, different nudibranchs and cuttlefish eggs!
Besides muck diving, we have been exploring the colorful walls around Bunaken, Siladen and Manado Tua. We are fully booked and high seasons is in full swing. We have had the pleasure of welcoming back Sophie, Francois, Clemence and Philippe from France. They are excited to be back on Bunaken since their last visit 5 years ago. Simon who lives in China, has decided to come and check out Bunaken for a change after having dived in Lembeh for several days.
Our instructor Ilse has had the privilege to teach Menno from Holland and Kristina and Manuel from Austria their PADI open water diver course and they were in luck as they got to do some muck diving during their course as well. For beginner divers, this can be challenging as it requires good buoyancy control, though these troopers absolutely nailed it!
Our divemaster intern Rosa has returned from her break and will be with us throughout the high season to continue to develop her skills as a divemaster. We are also expecting our former divemaster trainee Tom to return as a newly certified instructor. He will be around to assist on courses in order to find his way as a PADI instructor.
All in all, another spectacular week here on Bunaken, with brilliant guests, beautiful dives and sunny blue skies. Life doesn’t get much better!
