It’s been crazy busy here in South Lombok with new dive sites in both South Gili and Belongas Bay showing us that this area still has some surprises!
In the South Gili’s we have had an awesome season with some amazing diving, and with the addition of a new dive site “Jay’s cathedral” we are seeing sharks almost every dive, as well as marble rays, barracudas, jacks, turtles, napoleon wrasse, coral cat sharks and a wild drift down some epic topography.
We were also busy with courses in South Gili’s, and want to say congratulations to all the students who have completed their PADI dive courses with us, its been an absolute pleasure and a load of fun. Special congratulations to Marloes for completing her PADI Open Water course and to Mark for completing his PADI Advanced Course with us in South Lombok, they just loved the turtles, peacock shrimps and nudibranchs! Also a big hello to Daniel, Ronnie and veronica who loved diving with us so much they are back for a second holiday – I think they are just checking to make sure myself and Jay are behaving!!
In Belongas, the other spot in South Lombok, it’s been all go with hammers, mola mola, blue marlin, mantas and whale shark. We discovered a new pinnacle located off of they magnet with some huge potential for an awesome dive but still waiting for a little bit of time to work out how to dive it and what secrets it is hiding. I can’t wait!!!

What depth is it you dive on these sites in southern lombok? Some technical data on sites would help putting these dives into context; eg this is very deep dives as far as I know (45m+)
