Three new PADI Instructors and 1 Staff Instructor are born! On Nusa Lembongan, 19th of April, was the beginning of another great IDC program along with Platinum course director Marie. A nice mix of 3 different personalities, 3 different countries, 1 staff instructor trainee and Marie…5 people getting together for their 13 days of Instructor Development Course. First thing we know – it’s already over! Simply the proof that time flies when having fun!!
But hey, let’s keep in mind these amazing memories:
- Pierre-Lu and his brilliant jokes! He literally always has the right thing to say…at the right moment. Took a while until we finally get you on the IDC, but we did it!!
- Wiebke and her enthusiastic academic presentations…(we could literally see in her yes the passion while she was talking!). Her Komodo and Bunaken experience made her an amazing diver with very good experience.
- Brooke and her clarity, her ease during briefings and u/w and a personality that will make a lot of future divers happy.
- Markus and his informative comments…and always with a smile! Manager of Two Fish Bunaken, he knows his stuff…and his Tech stuff too!
- Marie and her monkey side…talking the day the away! There are things that will never change!
The presence of the local guides to play DM/Student and get to see how an IDC in conducted. Always good to have you guys with us. But can’t wait to have you sitting on the IDC student chair! A PADI GoPro night with 50+ people from Nusa Lembongan. Nice talk about PADI pro levels, PADI Free Diving, PADI Tech programs and a really informative presentation about the Mantas on Lembongan with the Mega Fauna Foundation.
Some amazing dives after OW Presentations and during speciality program (just a few Mantas around…normal stuff right?!)
An absolute successful IE followed by a few (just a few) beverages.

For those that didn’t know yet, we decided to add an extra IDC on Nusa Lembongan on the 4th of June (ending on the 19th and 20th with the IE). It is your chance to join another epic 2 weeks like we just had!

Thanks Marie for making the IDC such a breeze!
I did my IDC in April/May with Marie and I truly couldn’t be happier. I was very nervous about starting the IDC as I completed my Divemaster training 4 years before and had simply been putting it off. But Marie made it very stress-free, easy to follow and I didn’t feel like an idiot asking a million questions. Her positivity, jokes and expert knowledge made it such a relaxing IDC and passing the IE was super easy and even I was surprised with my 100% pass rate!
