Even in low season we are quite busy here in Bunaken. We are in the middle of raining season and it was raining quite a bit in the last few weeks. The last few days we had hardly any rain at all though. For raining season we still have a good visibility of 15-20 m and our divers are happy as ever.
Our instructors Dion and Markus were also quite busy in the last couple of weeks with open water and advanced open water course. Also have Romana and Jason who after they finished their EFR and Rescue course, will start their divemaster course with us in Bunaken. They will give you a separate update in our divemaster blog.
Here a short list of the sightings I can remember we had in the last few days in the beautiful walls of Bunaken: Pigmy seahorses, scorpion leaf fishes, frogfishes, huge schools of makerel, bumphead parrotfish, massive napoleon wrasse, crocodile fish, blacktips and whitetip sharks.
Albert, a crew staff and Corneles, one of our compressor staff are getting trained to become diveguides. In the last few weeks they were tagging along with our experienced dive guides to learn the ropes how to find the cute little critters and how to safely guide guests through some currents. Both will complete their rescue course in the next few days. We will then further put them through their paces to get them ready for high season.
So come and join us in Bunaken for some amazing wall dives.
