After some hard work, I’m all done!!
This week, I helped out on another open water diver course and one of them only did her discover scuba diver. It is really cool to see how the students are sometimes scared at the beginning and then you can see them happy in the water.
I also had one day off, which was really nice just to take a break from all the work for one day.
I went down deep again but missed the Mola – again. Not on that dive, but this week I was lucky and saw 3 Molas, the last one disappeared really fast, too many divers & some were way too close (I would have done the same, if I was getting cleaned in the shower and then maybe 30 or 40 nosy divers are gazing at me). It is pretty interesting how the nicest people can be so careless about the marine life and don’t respect it, even though they have the great possibility to be a part of it.
The Divemaster course opened new possibilities for more marine conservation projects for me and also helped myself to know more about how to protect aquatic life.
We also had a few Mantas while I needed to do my in water snorkeling supervision and while diving in Manta Point. Furthermore I needed to practice guiding so I was leading the instructors. I think they enjoyed it a lot.. For me it was more stressful than entertaining and it was more babysitting than just leading some adults. Besides the open water course, I had a “fake Advance course” to help out on.
On one hand it is sad to leave, but also I am excited to meet my Friend, who I haven’t seen in 4 months in Thailand.
At this point I wanna say thank you to everybody that made my time in Bunaken and Lembongan incredible, I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe only temporary there, but you all have your heart in the right place. It was a pleasure to meet you all, wish you the best, see you soon under water!
