Our ‘house reef’ is simply breathtaking. Whether you explore it on SCUBA or simply with a mask and snorkel, you will not be disappointed. The corals are colorful and plentiful and there is an overabundance of fish. As well as the turtles that Bunaken is famous for this site regularly brings bumphead parrot fishes, eagle rays, tuna and massive schools of reef fish.
Its been a quiet week here in Bunaken, only a few guests getting to enjoy the wonderful clear waters and soaring temperatures. Though for Ji and Eun from Korea it was the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to take their first breaths underwater and visit with a couple of huge Green turtles doing a mating dance right in front of the resort. Our ‘house reef’ really doesn’t disappoint!
More first time divers; Mario and Yi Zheng were gobsmacked by the variety of creatures, the visibility, and just how easy it is to breathe under the water. Our friend Jorg and Francesca from ‘geek divers’ finally got in the water and felt right at home drifting along the walls.
One of the highlights of the week though has to be taking two of our staff out for their open water course on our ‘house reef’. Together with our newly certified Divemaster Rosa, they started the open water course looking like they have gills, excellent buoyancy and control under the water. Geraldo and Tian have been looking forward to starting their dive careers for a few months and now it FINALLY has begun! We look forward to making them both into what you would expect from us at Two Fish…excellent Diveguides!
Are you also interested in becoming a PADI open water diver? What are you waiting for? Come and join us for an adventure of a lifetime…
