Two weeks have passed since I arrived in Bunaken. I spent those weeks doing the EFR course, the PADI Rescue Diver course in Bunaken and lots of dives. I also did the PADI Nitrox course with Dion (one of the PADI Instructors). I had (and am still having) a lot of fun with the diveguides which like my name and renamed me “Elo”:-)
Last saturday I started with the PADI Divemaster course. It was quite a busy but instructive and funny week. I did a lot of theory, skill training in the pool and could already assist Ina (one of the instructors) with a PADI Open Water course. I also did the PADI Deep Dive specialty and Dom (one of the instructors) tested me for signs of narcosis and I had to show him I was able to tie 3 knots. Worked fine:-)
I am working with 3 experienced instructors. It’s really good to get input from different instructors which have experience in different areas. The dive sites here in Bunaken are just amazing, especially the wall sites, and there is a lot to see: Nudibranchs, reef sharks, turtles, barracudas and so on. Last week there was a pod of dolphins swimming next the boat.
I am looking forward to next week.
