How We Hire Diving Staff
When we hire new diving staff it’s important that we choose the right people, who have the right training and who have some experience and are ready to hit the ground running. We always consider Two Fish certified Divemasters and Instructors first because we know you, you already know how we operate and we know you’ve had great training!
Applying for a Scuba Diving Job
Scuba diving is a busy business so when we take on new diving staff we need people who are ready to start work. This is common in the industry and it works fine for experienced instructors but it can mean that for those who have just completed their professional courses, getting that “first break” can be tough. We understand because we have all been there ourselves.

Here’s what we offer to get you started on an exciting new career in the diving industry:
PADI Divemaster Options
Divemaster Course: Unlike many places that want to turnaround Divemaster Trainees as quickly as possible we don’t run a 2 week option for the PADI Divemaster Course. We don’t want to rush your learning and we want to produce PADI Divemasters that are truly “masters” and the sort of Divemaster that we would employ. We run our Divemaster programs over 4 – 8 weeks so you can choose the time scale that suits you, whilst knowing that you are receiving fully comprehensive training.
PADI Divemaster internships can combine different Two Fish resorts for more awesome diving
Divemaster Internships: Once you are certified as a PADI Divemaster you are eligible to apply for our PADI Divemaster Internships. Internship programs are between 2 – 4 months and can be taken in the same resort you completed your Divemaster training, a different resort or even a combination of Two Fish Resorts. Upon successful completion and performance of your Internship we’ll be happy to supply you with a written reference which you can use when applying for diving jobs! PADI Instructor Options:
Instructor Development Course: Our Instructor Development Courses are taught by our in-house Course Director and we offer programs throughout the year at our Dive Centers across Indonesia – Nusa Lembongan (Bali), Amed (Bali), Sanur (Bali), Bunaken (North Sulawesi) and Gili Air (Lombok). Our IDC’s are student driven and we build into your schedule one on one time with your Course Director, plenty of in-water and classroom based presentation practice time, mock exam practices, we run small groups to ensure an enhanced learning experience – we have a 100% success rate for very good reasons! An Instructor Internship ensures you are ready to start work right away
Instructor Internships: Can you remember the first time you drove a car alone after passing your test? That’s what it’s like when teaching your first Open Water Course. You know you can teach the individual elements; you know your skills but putting them together into a 4 day program is entirely different. During your 2 month Instructor Internship you’ll work alongside our experienced instructors and learn how to make the magic happen! You’ll become proficient, efficient, capable and confident in your delivery of courses – all skills that diving employers, including Two Fish Divers, really value.
The diving industry is dynamic and the more that you can bring to the table in terms of additional skills, the more employable you will be. That’s why we’ll also introduce you to the key skills needed in managing a busy dive centre – from scheduling dive boats, staff and dive site selection through to ensuring maintenance and social media are covered, we’ll show you the ropes.
