What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course? The PADI Rescue Diver Course is one of the most rewarding courses you’ll ever take. You’ll start by learning self-rescue techniques as well as how to prevent accidents and emergencies from occurring in the first place. For the first time, you’ll learn about assessing other divers and not just taking care of yourself – this is why this course is ESSENTIAL for anyone who plans to become a PADI Divemaster or Instructor – it’s even a PADI requirement, You’ll also learn life-saving skills that can be put to use both in and out of the water.
How does it work? You can get started on your PADI Rescue Diver Course from home NOW by studying the theory during lockdown, and then visit us any time within 12mths of finishing the eLearning course, up until the end of 2021, to complete the practical training components – and get your PADI Rescue Diver Course certificate.
Since all the theory will have been completed by the time you get to us, you just need to complete the in-water components of the course – exercises, dives and scenarios. These can be done over 2/3 days, or mixed with fun dives during the time that you are here as part of a longer holiday.
Becoming a PADI Rescue Diver is not just a certification and a personal achievement – the more Rescue Divers there are on dive boats, in dive resorts and underwater at dive sites, the safer diving becomes for everyone! Who Can Take the Course? Anyone who is Advanced Open Water certified! You will also need to have an up to date First Aid and CPR certificate to be certified as a Rescue Diver. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, we also teach the Emergency First Responder Course which takes just one day to complete. If you already have emergency training, please let us know the date of your certification and training agency.
