Thano from the US and Andreas from Norway both completed their PADI Divemaster courses with us between Bunaken and Lembeh locations. As both locations have good diveable wrecks the guys chose to do their PADI Wreck Specialty as well.
We were very lucky getting beautiful clear conditions on the Molas wreck off Manado, named after Molas beach where it lies at a depth of approx 35m. Then onto Lembeh and the Mawali wreck, named after the nearest village, where it looked like a local entrepeneur was doing a little salvage. Our marker buoyline was cut but there was a barge suspiciously close to the GPS marks. Funnily enough when we followed their anchor cable down it led us to the wreck. Both wrecks are currently unidentified WWII cargo vessels from Holland and Japan respectively. They are also very convenient for exploring as they both have various open chambers with direct access to the open water; great for running line drills and both wrecks abound with marine life.
