Bunaken is known for its wall diving and in among the walls we have a few corners that seem the perfect environment for the amazing giant clam. These molluscs can grow well over a meter long and live an average of 100 years! Their beautifully coloured “skin” makes a great photographic subject for either close up or wide angle and the colours on each are unique and vibrant, from electric blues and greens to mottled yellow and brown.
This week we have said goodbye to many wonderful guests including our Open Water diver students from France, Netherlands and Belgium. Divers from Indonesia, Germany and Spain. We must give a special mention to one particular departure this week who will be sorely missed both here and on Bunaken island.
Our Intern Rosa joined us almost 6 months ago as a Rescue diver to complete her PADI Divemaster course and since then she has become an amazing Divemaster, English teacher, party starter and friend of Bunaken. She will be sorely missed by the people of Bunaken, Two Fish Divers and all of her turtle friends who came to say hello to her every day.
