For immediate release – Leading Indonesia-based dive operator Two Fish Divers is expanding its technical diving division, Two Fish Tech, to Amed in north east Bali.
Starting from June, Two Fish Tech Amed will be offering a wide range of PADI TecRec and TDI technical diving courses, as well as the SDI Solo Diver speciality. Starting from one day Discover Tec sessions taught in both sidemount and backmount configurations, students will be able to progress through a range of decompression diving courses to the limits of air diving at 55 metres.
Guided technical dives will be available to open circuit and CCR divers to a depth of 100m. Two Fish Tech’s current base on Bunaken, Sulawesi will focus on offering guided technical dives to already qualified technical divers.
“We believe that our base in Amed is the perfect location for both students looking to get started with and expand their technical diving knowledge”, says Two Fish’s General Manager Nigel Thomas.
“Whilst the dive sites around Tulamben and Amed are well frequented by recreational divers, not many have been beyond 30 – 40 metres. There are great opportunities to see pelagic species at greater depths and further explore the reef walls.”
Two Fish Tech will be run by Yvonne Press, who is a TDI and PADI TecRec instructor. Yvonne started tech diving in 2011 in Scotland and has been working in Asia since 2014.
“Our dive centre is ideally located on the beach with easy access to a house reef, making technical training dives very straight forward”, says Yvonne.
“ Close by, we are spoilt for choice with deeper sites in both Amed and Tulamben to conduct decompression dives.
“Amed itself is easily reached from Bali airport, but at the same time offers divers a taste of ‘real Bali’. The area is growing as a centre for technical diving in Indonesia making it the ideal place for our expansion.“
Two Fish Tech Amed will start operating at the beginning of June and initial course bookings have already been taken. The company is also looking to expand its range of courses offered over the next year.
