THIS WEEK IN LEMBEH… We found a Sargassum Frogfish at Hairball hiding in a piece of trash! Normally these are found floating with seagrass just under the surface and we often see them from the shore at the resort when cleaning up surface debris, so this was an unusual to find one completely underwater!
Lots of other Frogfish have been found on other dive sites this week too with five on one site yesterday… We saw Painted and Clown Frogfish in a variety of colours. A few Blue Ringed Octopus have also been spotted along with lots of Mimics, Coconuts and Wunderpus Octopus. Flamboyant Cuttlefish are still on lots of the sites as are Tiger Shrimp, Ornate Ghost Pipefish, Lembeh Sea Dragons and Bargibanti and Pontohi pygmy seahorses. The Lembeh velvet Fish was also spotted this week 🙂
We also have some familiar faces back with us… Rocky and Alex are here for their third visit and Hui and Alan are both here for their fourth visit… Their mission this week is to find a Hairy octopus, one of Lembeh’s shyest residents!
