This week, World Oceans Day meant that our staff Andy, Hery and Frauke “Kay” were doing a reef clean up, and within a 60 minutes dive we collected more than 3 big mesh bags full of rubbish.
It was a geeat dive as well because during the clean up we found loads of juvenile fishes like harlequin sweetlips, yellow box fish and longfin batfish as well as a honeycomb moray eel.
Besides this, as the Island Gili Air is right now very quiet, we were preparing our dive Center for the coming high Season. Maintaining equipment, cleaning of washing tanks, stocking up on teaching materials, updating first aid kit, organizing fins etc. this was all on our agenda for this week. So we are ready for the high season and looking forward to have loads of fun divers and students.
