This week in Bunaken… Santa came to see us and brought us lots of great sightings that put smiles on everybody’s faces! With Christmas just around the corner we saw the resort filling up in the beginning of the week and it was great to see lots of new faces, but also some familiar ones.
On Christmas Day we woke up to heavy, grey skies and if it hadn’t been for the temperature many would’ve thought they were back in Europe! The fish decided to give us a great day though with lovely sightings of sharks, turtles, pygmy sea horses, big napoleon wrasse and massive tunas the size of a dinner table. And by the time we came back from the second dive the sun broke through and smiled on us for the rest of the day.
Apart from plenty of fun divers we have also been busy with courses, welcoming new PADI Open Water divers to the under water world and teaching new tricks to old dogs with PADI Advanced Open Water courses and PADI Specialty courses.
Our DMTs Wim and Georgia are flying through their PADI Divemaster courses and had to face one of their biggest worries; the dreaded equipment exchange. It turned out to be a walk in the park and Wim even did most of it with a terrible cramp in his leg. Nothing could faze them! More about their thoughts and impressions in the weekly DMT blog.
In a couple of days time we say goodbye to 2014. It has been a truly amazing year and we can’t wait to see what 2015 has in hold for us. See you next year!!
