Often we get asked about what was your perfect diving experience, or what was the best dive ever encounter you will remember your whole entire life? Normally you hear absolutely amazing stories about crazy dives with stunning sightings, but for our guests, Tariq and Kim from Denmark, our advanced open water students Meg and Adam from Australia and also for our current Divemaster Trainees, Nolan and Ryan, last Tuesday might have changed their answer about the perfect diving experience, because we just had it. What an awesome, perfect day of scuba diving in Lembongan!!!
Of course, we have lots of perfect days of scuba diving in Lembongan, but this one was extra, extra special! When we started our trip early in the morning at 8.00am, we had Dolphin sightings on the way to Crystal Bay, our first dive site, but that wasn’t what made it the best day of scuba diving in Lembongan – there was more to come! We jumped in crystal clear water and there was nearly no current – perfect. This does not happen very often. We saw a lot of different Nudibranches, Octopus, Peacock Mantis Shrimp, Banded Sea Krait, Turtles and so on. What a lovely start to the day.

Manta rays are a highlight of scuba diving in Lembongan
When everyone was on the boat again we headed out to Manta Bay and found 3-4 Mantas close to the surface and away from all the other boats, so why not snorkel with them. The whole boat jumped in and everybody had a fantastic time watching the mantas playing. During the dive at Manta Bay it just went on like this. We saw another Manta passing by slowly checking us out, Turtles again and also a Bamboo Shark. The highlight for some of us was for sure the blue ring octopus (above) we saw in the middle of the dive sitting right on top of a rock showing his blue rings. Again small current and good visibility made it the best dive we had so far at Manta Bay. Scuba diving in Lembongan often just feels to get better and better every year!
On our way back to the beach the Dolphins came back to the boat, and this time they played around just 5m away from us which was absolutely breathtaking.
After arriving at the beach we only had smiling faces at lunch sharing all the very own and personal stories of this amazing day out diving here in Nusa Lembongan. Thanks very much to all of our guests and staff, you made this day amazing.
