This week in Bunaken, one of our groups of divers were lucky enough to spot seven reef sharks on one dive. All black and white tip sharks, they are seen frequently in the waters around Bunaken but never in such large numbers on one dive! The sharks love these waters as Bunaken has a huge array of mangrove forests, which act as a nursery for baby sharks. Although most of the reef sharks we see here are quite small in size, it’s great to see lots of the, about, and it indicates a healthy ecosystem!
We’ve also had a busy week with courses, with instructor Markus completing 2 advanced open water courses and Sebastien completing seven open water courses – well done everyone on your new qualifications!
