Sharks were on the minds of our most energetic guests that set out for an early morning dive at sunrise yesterday morning. Waking up at 5 AM was challenging though they were not disappointed for their efforts as they spotted three sharks during the dive. Dawn is when the last of the nights hunting is done by predators making the most of the low light. Black and White tip reef sharks, Barracudas and Octopus are a few of the things you can expect on such an adventure.
Advanced training has been the name of the game here this week with our guests Sven, Liu, Lie, and Hydro all doing their PADI Advanced Open Water course. Sven only completed his open water course last week with us, however he is already hooked! 🙂
Everyone was a little nervous to go in for a night dive but none were disappointed by the beautiful creatures of the darkness: Giant decorator crabs, hunting moray eels, the tiny glowing eyes of a million shrimp and the Bio-luminescence like a galaxy of little stars.
We also congratulated Robin and Sharon from Holland on successfully completing their PADI Open Water Diver course, they had an awesome time and wished they could have stayed longer. Many of our guests have had the privilege of seeing our local dolphins come for a visit on the way out to the dive sites and back as well!
Last but not least, we have completed another divemaster course this week with our trainee Will, who has decided to stay with us for another couple of weeks to gain some more experience and do even more beautiful Bunaken diving! Congratulations once again Will on becoming a PADI divemaster. We look forward to having you around for another two great weeks of diving!
Hope to see you here soon!
