THIS WEEK IN BUNAKEN… the ShipWreck dive was really nice with great viz and almost no current, so it was good dive for all the divers. This shipwreck has lot of life growing on it and supports many fish, such as a super cool Mappa Pufferfish sitting on the deck and greeting divers. Even after a few photo’s were taken of him he still did not move away, instead giving just a little waving to say hi. On the reef side of the wreck also had lot of cool little encounters like juvenile sweetlip, mantis shrimp, ornate ghost pipefish and scorpion fish.
Over the week we had a group of divers from Melbourne, Australia visiting us to enjoy the beautiful Bunaken reefs. Some of them got to experience night diving for the very first time with instructor Sandy and they had a lot of fun. They also really enjoyed the turtle encounters around the wall – some of the dive sights around Bunaken have many turtles that are very friendly and the close-up encounters can be great!
The last night for the group was on Saturday and here in Bunaken we have the local staff playing music at the beach cafe. The group also ordered a special feast for dinner of spit-roast whole-pig, and everyone had an awesome night of eating great local food and drinking with friends.
Dive, Eat, Sleep and repeat is the best way to spend you dive holiday with friends!!
