The South Gili’s are one of our favourite dive locations and they offer some of the most pristine reefs in Indonesia. We dive the South Gili’s from our South Lombok dive resort and this is a must visit location for anyone who wants to see healthy, vibrant reefs and stunning natural beauty – both underwater and above!

As well as phenomenal reefs this is one of richest marine locations in the Indo-Pacific region – home to a huge 3,500 species of fish and marine mammals! Our South Gili dive sites offer easy conditions for all levels of diver, excellent visibility and tropical sea temperatures. You’ll enjoy diving along beautiful coral reefs which are teeming with fish and bursting with colour.

For those who like to see larger marine life we have plenty to keep you satisfied with turtles, white tip reef sharks, tuna, barracuda, jacks and sea snakes possible at all dives. For those who are more interested in macro life we aren’t in short supply either. Common sighting around the South Gili’s include cuttlefish, a plethora of nudibranch species, frog fish, ghost pipefish, octopus, and all manner of crustaceans and reef fish – even we still get surprised at times! Our South Gili dive sites are like treasure troves for underwater photographers too!

Add some adrenaline!

For those experienced divers who want to combine the easy dive sites of the South Gili’s with something a little more adrenaline-pumping we also make day-trips to the Belongas Bay, an area on the south coast of Lombok offers phenomenal diving for more experienced divers. Dive sites such as The Magnet and Cathedral can have challenging conditions but the effort is well rewarded with schooling hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, white tip reef sharks and a host of other predators.

The South of Lombok also offers stunning natural beauty with pristine white sand beaches and tropical bays and lagoons. When you are not diving there’s plenty to see and explore and the locals will always greet you with a friendly smile!

The South Gili’s are easily accessible from Bali so why not combine your stay in South Lombok with diving in Amed or Nusa Lembongan too? You’ll dive the USAT Liberty shipwreck from Amed or explore Crystal Bay and dive with the Manta Rays from Nusa Lembongan!
