This week in Tec… Despite the volcano in Java grounding flights and preventing students getting to Bunaken for their courses, we still have had a busy couple of weeks. Oliver is visiting from Germany and decided to progress his technical training with us doing TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures. Oliver is already a Cave diver and a psychiatric nurse so both the skills and theory were done fairly quickly; giving us time to get quite a few technical dives done on the courses. Now graduated he is spending a little longer with us gaining some experience and exploring the depths around Bunaken. Not to be outdone, our current DMTs had a tech try out in the pool, practising emergency drills and gas shutdowns- Carmelo has even borrowed some of the tech books from the library and is seriously contemplating adding Divemaster with technical traning to his CV.
