This week start has of super busy, as I was more familiar with what I should do every day, and also because I started to do the dive center briefing, boat briefing and dive site briefing, I assist Steph on a open water pool class and open water class, I assist Laurent with dsd open water.
My instructor Bryce started to ask me to try to guide a dive. I have experienced a tough drift dive in Toyapakeh, at where my divers had an unforgettably great dive in Lembongan. I also organised the project aware program (ocean cleaning) in the north cost of Nusa Pendia. During this I saw a giant purple jellyfish, I was even kind of scared by its size, but the same time, it is amazing experience to see such a beautiful creature. But it was also sad that seeing plastic bags and fishing nets under the water. If turtles or mantas eat them thinking they are jelly fish, then it could definitely kill them.
I have learnt many things in this week. It is not easy to become a good divemaster, because it needs a lot of hard work, and many details I need to focus on. Divemasters need to think before the clients, need to provide the best service to all clients, need to always have a calm mind under the water, need to make the dive plan as perfect as possible, and most importantly is to make clients feel super happy to dive with our center. For the coming week, I have already made my goal, that is, learn to guide a dive, to improve my ability control a dive group and try to be funny when I am working.
