When it comes to entering a photography competition you need to make sure everything is just right. You need to make sure you have the right equipment and you need to have the right place to practice. In March, the prestigious Celebrate The Sea photography competition was held in Manado and Two Fish Divers Lembeh was the chosen practice ground of German photographer Marcel Duske. As it is commonly regarded as one of the most significant underwater photographic events outside of Europe, any experience in the area is invaluable.
Marcel spent one week photographing a variety of animals that our expert guides regularly found him. A plethora of octopus, crabs, shrimps, and nudibranchs (to name but a few) were the perfect subjects for him to fine-tune his skills before the competition.
Marcel left TFD with extra knowledge and came away from Bangka as the winner of the compact camera category! Congratulations Marcel and we hope to see you again!
With some of the most diverse macro life in the world, it is no surprise that photographers from all over the world flock to the waters of Lembeh Strait. But even without a camera, we are sure our guides will be able to show you plenty of interesting animals for you to enjoy during your stay
We have recently set up the Two Fish Divers Lembeh Instagram account where you will be able to see more of Marcel’s Lembeh shots as well as those from our other guests! #twofishlembehlife
