The Hammer heads are on their way as Belongas bay is about to open for diving at the end of this month we wait in anticipation for the Belongas bay diving experience to begin.

As we look back on last year at some of the best dives I have ever done, with the hammer heads turning up early, Mobula rays in their hundreds, not to mention all of the other wonderful marine life in the area and it has us itching to get back in those crazy waters.

If you have been following us closely you may also know about the tech diving programs we have been trying to set up with our very own tech guru Yvonne Press. We did 2 tech exploration trips last year in our low season which isn’t really known about due to the hammer heads not being there, but boy was it epic! Not only did we discover a few new dive sites but expanded on some old ones with the discovery of a cave system underneath the cathedral, the secret hiding spots for fish at the magnet and a pinnacle sitting just off the magnet itself hiding unknown treasures. With sharks galore, barracudas, jacks, huge schools of fishes, the occasional friendly sea snake, breath taking topography it has to be some of the best diving around and we cannot wait for the end of this month to come any sooner.
