Turtles, Lion Fish, and Nudibranch, Oh my…
Diving around the Indonesian triangle comprised of Gili Air, Amed, and Lembongan, there is so much sea life that it is easy to overlook the everyday critters that tend to get forgotten throughout our dive since we are looking for the “Big” fish in the ocean blue or that elusive Clown Frogfish that seems to be so cleverly disguised.
However, there is so much more to appreciate in our everyday diving. It is magical to dive in Gili Air’s own Turtle Heaven dive site and observe half a dozen gentle hawksbill turtles catching some shut eye and living the epitome of “Island Life”. Drifting along Bounty Wreck dive site and catching glimpses of colorful Nudibranch taking it easy on soft coral or spotting a carefully hidden Lion Fish under the ridges while it preys on its next meal. It is truly amazing to be a diver in this plentiful region and being greeted by all that is there underwater. Let our local guides show you what else is under the sea!
