Most days are beautiful in Padang Bai, but sometimes you stumble upon amazing days. With our guests Adisty and David we found two curious octopuses in Turtle Neck, just around the wall. The octopuses were shy at first but started to check out their new underwater friends after a while.
We stayed with them for a long time until other people discovered that we had struck gold, which resulted in a storm of selfies around our two new friends. Adisty and David promised to come back soon to dive the same site, hoping to see these two again!
Alexandra and Rebecca passed their PADI Open Water Diver Course! Their first open water dive was at the USAT Liberty wreck, followed by a second dive at Coral Garden in Tulamben. Around the wreck we spotted a few juveniles such as the Juvenile Many Spotted Sweetlips (or Harlequin Sweetlips) and the juvenile Whitepatch Razorfish.
The second day of Open Water Dives was in Padang Bai where we started at Jepun, looking for the shipwreck, followed by a dive in Turtle Neck. Again we spotted several juveniles; a juvenile boxfish, a juvenile lionfish, and the bright blue lined juvenile Emperor Angelfish. Everyone was sad the day was over because we had been so spoiled by nature, but that’s a good reason to come back to Bali and do more dives!
While most people were under the surface this week Katja and her entourage stayed on the surface to do some snorkeling in Padang Bai!
They had to get back to Switzerland the following day, which made it impossible to try scuba diving, but we are positive that they might do an introduction dive (Discover Scuba Dive) one day because once you’ve seen the beautiful reefs from above, you can’t wait to see what’s hiding within!
We are fortunate to have a busy week ahead with daily diving in Nusa Penida. Let the Mola search begin and dive with Two Fish Divers !
