Many of our guests this week have taken the great opportunity to head out for a dive at sunrise. This early morning dive is a great experience of our beautiful walls in the light of the rising sun, without any other divers around and a good chance to see some of the night hunters getting in their last meal of the evening. With sharks, barracudas, eagle rays and octopus being regular visitors at this time.
It’s not only wall diving here in Bunaken, this week we have taken some of our guests who wanted to see something a little different over to our local shipwreck and to our muck diving sites on the Sulawesi mainland. Some special critters we can spot over here include the common seahorse, ribbon eel, ghost pipefish and frogfishes!
Enno and Sabine from Germany have been diving the early morning and night dives to give them the whole day free to lay by our pool and go out exploring the island. Students Kevin and Bona from France have this week joined the diving world completing their Open water course and loving every minute! Yanxi, Bin and Hong were able to refresh their diving skills and then continue to complete their Advanced open water course with our Instructor Ilse to guide them through.
