Although most of my Divemaster course in Bunaken is done, this week I had a chance to spend a few days at our sister resort in Lembeh.
I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed the awesome muck diving there – no wonder it is called a heaven for macro photographers and the capital of frogfish. It’s also a great place to get ‘camera envy’ and I think it’s time to upgrade my GoPro. We did a night dive, too and I was very lucky to spot more than a few creatures together with our guide, making two dive buddies from Australia very happy.
Of course, it’s not all been playtime. I took my homework with me and finished reading the Divemaster manual, refreshed my rescue diver course memories by watching the course videos, practiced my dive planning and also worked on my dive skill demonstrations. A productive week all in all.
Back in Bunaken, I learned more about finding and recovering objects lost underwater and finished all of the theory – knowledge reviews and exams. So now, for the next ten or so days, it’ll be all about polishing off the practical requirements for the divemaster course.
