Every day we organise day trips to the most beautiful spots in Bali from our dive centre in Sanur, but what can you expect from a trip to Padang Bai? Our day trips are perfect for people that have their families or friends staying in the area of Sanur, Kuta or Seminyak, and want to fit some diving into the holiday, or those who have a few spare days before or after their travels around Bali. When will you join us on a trip?
Your day trip starts with pick up from your hotel by one of our drivers who will bring you to our dive centre in Sanur. At the dive centre you are welcomed with a big smile 😀 from your guide of the day and a cup of Bali coffee, tea or water. We let you try on the equipment so all your dive gear fits well, and we have to make sure the paperwork is signed. Then our driver will take us to Padang Bai, which is about 1 hour from Sanur.
On the beach we set up our equipment and in the restaurant across the street we get dressed and pre-order our lunch. I recommend the freshly baked baguettes, they’re super nice!
The dive sites around the area are very divers and the ones we dive depend on the conditions of the day, the experience level and interest of the divers on the boat. We can do 2 or 3 dives in one day, depending on your preference.
From the beach we take a local boat called Jukung to the dive sites, which is approximately 5-10 minutes from the Padang Bai main beach. When arriving at the dive site we do our dive briefing, gear up and backroll into the water. After the first dive we stay on the boat and enjoy some refreshments; we always have coffee, tea and water on our trips together with fresh fruits and cookies. The surface time often feels so short when you’re talking about diving while enjoying the sun and eating biscuits! 😉
After the second dive we will return to the restaurant to have lunch, but when doing 3 dives we often decide to stay on the boat for the second surface interval as well to have a late lunch after all the dives.
Diving in Padang Bai is amazing and there are so many dive sites that you’ll want to go back and do some more dives, but now it’s time for goodbyes and our driver will bring you back to your hotel.
Padang Bai has one of the best muck diving site in Bali but we can also spot pelagics and enjoy the coral reefs, so every diver can enjoy diving Padang Bai! Keep an eye on our blogs for more information on the different dive sites or join us on a diving day trip and see for yourself!
