This week George came over with an amazing group from Singapore to dive with us in Nusa Penida/Nusa Lembongan, Padang Bai and Tulamben. The first day started two dives in Crystal Bay and a thrilling drift dive in the Mangroves. A good start of four days of diving!
On August 9 it’s Singapore national day, so while diving in Padang Bai we took some pictures of the whole group with the Singaporean flag! The third day we drove to Tulamben to see the wreck and the statues in coral garden. The wreck was full of surprises this week, not only did we spot the bumphead parrotfish, a juvenile many-spotted sweetlips, but we witnessed a marriage proposal!
We wish the happy couple a beautiful wedding! Also on the wreck the Indonesian flag was raised in preparation for the Indonesian National day on August 17th. For the fourth and last day of diving we went back to Nusa Penida hoping to spot some big fish. At Manta point we had the most beautiful encounter with a Manta ray who kept on swimming around us.
In Crystal Bay we split up, half of the group was looking to see Molas, while the rest wanted to see the turtles. We both found what we were looking for, a great appetizer for more dives in Nusa Penida one day! Thank you George, Kai, Christina, Kellie, Grace, Wang Yi and Jessica for diving with us! We hope your happy, enthusiastic and fun group will come back to dive some more soon!
In the beginning of the week we felt the earthquake in Sanur that struck Lombok and damaged much of the north of the island and the Gili islands. Our thoughts are with all that have been affected by the earthquake, especially those who have lost loved ones.
In Sanur our dive centre operate as normally. If you have any questions about diving in Bali and the conditions please let us know. We’d be happy to answer and welcoming you to join explore the amazing underwater life with Two Fish Divers!
