“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. The course develops your knowledge and skills so that you will become a complete diver – someone who can look after themselves as well as others in the water by effectively performing diver assists and rescues, managing diving accident situations and giving first aid.
The course is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver, and we think that every diver should get to the level of Rescue Diver as it makes you completely self-sufficient in terms of rescuing yourself and others. The PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all PADI Divemaster and Instructor programs.
Not yet done First Aid? First Aid done but not within previous 2years? Have First Aid but no CPR?
If you answer YES to any of these questions then you will need to do a First Aid course before you start the Rescue Course.
The PADI First Aid course is called EFR or Emergency First Response, it is a 1-day non-diving course so it is easy for us to schedule before your Rescue Diver course.
Pair your course with a place to stay and turn a day of diving into a proper getaway. We’ll help you match accommodation to your dates and budget so it’s one easy booking.
This option allows you to study the knowledge development online before you come and visit us. You will need to complete the theory before you visit us, this saves you time on your holiday and you can get started with the practical stuff right away when you arrive!
You will need to sign up for eLearning and affiliate with our store, and there is an extra fee is that is paid directly to PADI upon registration which is typically around US$200. We will also give you a small discount on your course.
When you complete everything you will get a certificate which you need to email to us or bring with you to hand to your instructor.
The Rescue Course will still take 3days so why do the eLearning option?
The main reason is to maximise your dives whilst you are here. Since you do not need to do the theory whilst you are here you you can do more fun dives – one popular option is to do fun dives in the mornings and the Rescue Course in the afternoon!
If you need to do EFR then we can plan the Rescue & EFR over 3days:
Rescue Diver (eLearning) + EFR schedule:
Day 0 – Arrive & collect manual
Day 1 – EFR course
Day 2 – Rescue practical in the pool
Day 3 – Rescue practical on the boat
You can do the theory in your own language if you find it easier, and we will conduct the practical part of the course in english/ language that our instructors can teach (please check with us the languages that our instructors can teach, this can vary from season to season).
We have been in Indonesia for more than 25 years, teaching more than 15,000 people to scuba dive.
We have small class sizes of max 4 students, often with only 1 or 2 students.
We have full-time, experienced instructors who follow all the PADI guidelines for providing a safe course to the highest quality possible.
Safety is our first concern, and our dive equipment is fully maintained.
We include dive insurance and a dive computer as standard in your course, unlike other centers.
All our centers are PADI 5 Star Center or PADI 5 Star IDC Center which means that we are committed to offering quality dive courses.
