Course Pre-requisites
Don’t forget to review these important pre-requisites to make sure that you are ready for your course when you arrive.
MEDICAL FORM
Please review this PADI Medical Statement pdf – there is no need to fill it out now, as you will complete it again with your dive instructor when you arrive.
Important! If you can answer “YES” to any of the questions, you will need to visit a medical doctor for a check-up and get a signed letter stating that you are fit for scuba diving. This needs to be done before your arrival, and you must bring the letter with you to show your dive instructor. If you are a doctor, you cannot sign it yourself!
SWIMMING
The Open Water Course requires that you be able to:
- Float for 10 minutes
- Swim 200 meters or snorkel 300 meters
You may need to plan time to train, learn, or practice these skills before your arrival.
