Try scuba diving with a PADI instructor at Amed, Nusa Penida, Sanur or Bunaken. You don’t need any experience, and there’s no exam.
Discover Scuba Diving is for anyone who wants to know what breathing underwater feels like before signing up for a full course. You learn the basics with your instructor in the pool, then dive at a real dive site. It isn’t a certification, so there’s nothing to study beforehand.
We run it at four of our five centres: Amed, Nusa Penida and Sanur in Bali, and Bunaken in North Sulawesi. We aren’t running it in Lembeh at the moment.
Groups are a maximum of 4 students to 1 instructor, and often 2 to 1. Around Nusa Penida the currents are unpredictable, so there it’s a hard maximum of 2 students to 1 instructor.

No. It’s designed for people who have never dived. You need to be at least 10 years old and complete the PADI medical statement.
No. It’s a supervised try dive with a PADI instructor. To dive without an instructor you need a certification, such as the PADI Open Water course.
