Hands-on divemaster internships at world-class diving locations in Indonesia – Bunaken, Penida and Amed. Max 2 DM candidates per location gives you real teaching time with experienced instructors, not a production line.
Your PADI Divemaster internship runs for a minimum of 4 weeks at our PADI 5-Star dive centres in Amed, Nusa Penida, or Bunaken. Do it at a single location, or make the most of our multi-location network with a 2-location rotation — up to 2-weeks at each centre gives you experience across completely different marine ecosystems. We are the only operator in Indonesia that offers this.
Immerse yourself in one dive environment. Choose from Amed (wrecks, macro, coral slopes), Nusa Penida (mantas, mola mola, drift dives), or Bunaken (walls, turtles, marine park).
Stay in Bali and experience two completely different dive environments — wrecks, macro, and coral slopes in Amed, then manta rays, mola mola, and exhilarating drift dives in Nusa Penida.
Bali's diverse macro and wrecks combined with North Sulawesi's world-famous walls.
Big animal action meets pristine wall diving. Manta rays and mola mola in Bali, then towering coral walls and turtles in Bunaken Marine Park.
Our programmes include unlimited diving at world-class sites. You’ll log serious bottom time across diverse marine environments.
We are the only operator in Indonesia offering multi-location DM internships. Why settle for one reef when you can master two completely different ecosystems?
Depending on guest numbers, we offer a free post-course internship so you can build real-world experience before heading out into the industry.
You get genuine teaching time and personal mentoring — not a production line. Our small numbers mean you’re working alongside instructors, not watching from the back.
Our instructors have years of DM training experience across multiple environments, from walls and wrecks to macro and megafauna.
The PADI Divemaster course is your first step towards a professional diving career. While it can technically be taught in 2 weeks, that leaves you with minimal practical experience and unprepared to work as a PADI Divemaster.
We run the DM course as an internship over a minimum of 4 weeks. During this time you work closely with our experienced PADI Instructors — assisting with student divers, leading certified groups, and developing the leadership skills that make the difference between a certificate holder and a working dive professional.
You’ll see what it’s really like to work as a Divemaster in a busy dive centre — meeting guests, briefing dive sites, guiding certified divers, and assisting instructors with training courses. Your duties include pool demonstrations, equipment setup, planning and conducting dive excursions, customer service, and of course plenty of diving.
This isn’t a classroom exercise. By the end, you’ll have the skills and confidence to work anywhere in the world.
Prerequisites:
We run DM internships at three locations: Amed (Bali), Nusa Penida (Bali), and Bunaken (North Sulawesi). You can train at a single location or split across two with our multi-location rotation.
Other Two Fish locations: Lembeh is for experienced fun diving only (no courses) – ask about our discounted fun dive packages if you want to add-on some fun diving before or after your DM course. Sanur is our IDC classroom base and gateway for Bali day-trips.
The single location option means 4 weeks at one centre — ideal if you want to deeply learn one marine environment or don’t want to travel too much.
The multi-location rotation splits your 4 weeks across two centres, giving you experience in completely different ecosystems. Choose from three routes:
All transfers between centres are included.
No problem. We can run your Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses before your 4-week DM internship starts. You can even do these at a different location to your DM — a great way to see more of Indonesia.
We offer special fun dive packages to get you to the required 40 dives before your DM starts. This is a great way to build confidence and explore the dive sites you’ll be working at.
Our standard internship runs for 4 weeks. We also offer a 6-week extended option for more dive time and experience before assessment. If you’re starting from zero (no certifications at all), our Zero-to-Hero programme takes approximately 10 weeks.
Yes. If you can’t do everything in one visit, you can split across two trips:
Trip 1: Complete your prerequisites — Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and fun dives to reach the required 40 logged dives.
Trip 2: Return for your 4-week DM internship — choose a single location (Amed, Nusa Penida, or Bunaken) or a 2-location rotation.
Just let us know your timeline when you enquire and we’ll plan it around you.
Three options:
1. Free internship — we offer a free 2-month post-DM internship at our centres (subject to availability and team fit).
2. Fun diving discounts — up to 20% off diving at any of our other locations.
3. IDC pathway — 10% discount on our PADI IDC (saving over IDR 2,000,000). Our IDC runs our centers in Bali (Amed, Nusa Penida and Sanur). Learn more about our IDC programme.
If you are a total beginner, you can take our 10 week Zero-to-Hero program. You can do this at a single location or over multiple locations, and if you do not have the time you can split this over 2 or 3 stays with us.
